  • New endpoints releases, improvements and KMS updates

    New Feature Improvement KMS

We have released two new endpoints for preparing token transfers as part of our Blockchain Tools:

Using these two separate endpoints, customers can prepare transfers for fungible and non-fungible tokens from an address with private and public keys. The address doesn’t have to belong to a wallet. The response will include the transaction fee in Wei.

    What else is new:

    Technical documentation updates:

We’ve added additional information on the paginated and list based endpoints and we’ve updated the values for API requests.

We've also updated our Key Management System (KMS) on GitHub.

  • New prepare transaction endpoint and more updates

    New Feature Improvement KMS

Here is what's new in our latest release:

New endpoint: Prepare Transaction From Address

Through this endpoint customers can prepare a transaction from an address with private and public keys. The address doesn’t have to belong to a wallet. The response will include the transaction fee in Wei. The API is part of Blockchain Tools.

    Improvement:

The endpoint Prepare An Account Based Transaction From HD Wallet has been renamed to Prepare A Transaction From an Address in HD Wallet (xPub, yPub, zPub) to more correctly reflect its purpose.

We’ve also updated our Node.js SDK and our Key Management System on GitHub.

Please update your libraries if you’ve used this endpoint.

  • More API endpoints now support TRON

    Improvement

In our latest release we’ve introduced some product updates.

    Here is what’s new:

TRON is added as a possible value to the following endpoints:

The endpoint "Freeze Tron Energy Or Bandwidth" has been renamed to "Freeze Tron For Energy Or Bandwidth".

Stay tuned for more product updates and new features.

  • KMS Update v0.3.0

    Improvement KMS

We’ve updated our open-source Key Management System (KMS) to add support for more blockchains and make some improvements.

We’ve added as possible values Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Zcash to the Prepare A UTXO-Based Transaction From HD Wallet (xPub, yPub, zPub) endpoint that can be used with the KMS.

Ethereum Classic is now supported in the Prepare An Account-Based Transaction From HD Wallet (xPub, yPub, zPub) API.

We’ve also made some small improvements and added a MIT License (MIT) that outlines the permissions of use.

If you’ve already implemented the KMS, you’ll need to upgrade the SDK to the latest version. Check it out on GitHub.

  • New API endpoints for TRON and other improvements

    New Feature Improvement

We’ve added two new blockchain-specific endpoints in our Wallet as a Service that can be used to stake and unfreeze TRX for bandwidth or energy on the TRON network. We’ve also made some changes and improvements to existing endpoints. See the details below:

    New TRON-specific endpoints:

    • Freeze TRON for Energy Or Bandwidth - Through this endpoint, customers can stake (freeze) the balance of a specific TRX address to obtain bandwidth or energy. The minimum amount for staking is 1 TRX. The account receiving the bandwidth or energy must have an available TRX balance.
    • Unfreeze TRON Energy Or Bandwidth - With this endpoint, customers can unfreeze already staked TRX to receive resources. When unstaking bandwidth or energy, the whole amount for that resource will be released to the specified receiver address. The request for unfreezing TRX can be done 3 days after the staking transaction.

    Improvements to existing endpoints:

  • Upgraded model for daily credits and requests costs

    Announcement

We have upgraded our existing model for API Requests Credits.

The daily credits available for each plan have been multiplied by 100.

For example, if your current plan previously had 3,000 daily credits they are now 300,000

This is also reflected in the credits charged for each API endpoint.

For example, if a request used to cost 1 credit it is now changed to 100 credits.

The cost for each endpoint is available in the technical documentation.

With this change we are aiming at more flexibility with setting the credits for each API endpoint.

  • BNB Smart Chain (BSC) Hard Fork v1.1.16 Upgrade

    Announcement

We have updated all of our mainnet and testnet nodes to the latest BNB Smart Chain (BSC) hard-fork upgrades.

The Mainnet hard-fork upgrade Moran happened at block height 22,107,423 around 9AM UTC on 12th October. The testnet hard-fork upgrade happened at block height 23,603,940 on 11th October.

The release v1.1.16 is an urgent patch to mitigate the cross-chain infrastructure between Beacon Chain and Smart Chain. This update re-enabled the cross-chain communication and operations.

In summary, the changes aim to:

    • fix the vulnerability in the iavl hash check. This will eventually migrate to ICS23 spec.
    • introduce block header in sequence check in CrossChain Contract.
    • make relayer whitelisted to the genesis candidates. There will be further BEPs proposed on how to define the relayer candidates.

Cross-chain between BNB Beacon Chain and Smart Chain is back to normal. All the funds stuck in cross-chain transfers should either arrive in the target wallets or get refunded back to the source.

  • BNB Chain Nodes Upgraded to v1.1.15

    Announcement

We have upgraded all of our BNB Chain (BSC) nodes to the latest v1.1.15 release.

The BNB Chain suspended operations earlier on Friday after an exploit on a cross-chain bridge, BSC Token Hub, was discovered that resulted in extra BNB. Estimates show that funds taken off the platform are around $100M.

BSC v1.1.15 is a hot fix and hard-fork release. The hard-fork height is 21962149.

In this release, several blacklist addresses are prohibited for further transactions due to the exploit.

All cross-chain transfers and communication between BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain are disabled.

  • API endpoints updates and improvements

    New Feature Improvement

We've added some new features and provided support for more blockchain protocols to existing API endpoints.

    Here is what's new:

List Unspent Transaction Outputs By Address - we've added a new response attribute isAvailable. Through this endpoint customers can list their transactions' unspent outputs by address.

Prepare An Account-Based Transaction From HD Wallet (xPub, yPub, zPub) - we've added a new response attribute unit. Using this API endpoint users can prepare a transaction for signing from a synced with Crypto APIs address from the specific xPub.

Derive And Sync New Change Addresses - we've expanded the support for more blockchains in this API and customers can now use it with Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Dogecoin and ZCash.

Derive And Sync New Receiving Address - we've added more supported blockchains in this API endpoint and customers can now use it also with Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Dogecoin, ZCash, XRP, Tron and Ethereum Classic.
